Princess Rosalinda, about to becoming the Queen of Costa Luna, is invaded by an evil dictator. A special secret organization funded by royal families that looks after endangered Princesses puts her into the Princess Protection Program. Mason, an agent of the secret organization takes Rosalinda under his wings and takes her home. With the help of his daughter Carter, Rosalinda adopts the cover of an ordinary teenager named Rosie. Carter an ordinary insecure tomboy works at a local bait shop after school and dreams on going to the school dance with her crush, Donny, the school hunk. Rosie soon becomes a school popular and Carter learns to live with it and accepts it as the bond between the two grows deeper. Carter helps Rosie lead a life of a normal teenager while Rosie teaches Carter to see the princess within herself.
